It seems like a scary situation, I've got no fear though. I've been self-employed for 5 years. And never more than 2 months from broke. I've gotten used to it. Given your knowledge of these programs I think you should consider setting up ad campaigns for clients in AdWords and charging for your time. That would you could apply what you know and not have to spend money out of your pocket.
